3D Printed Model

I printed out my Smithsonian elephant model, here is the result. 1:48 scale, 3.3 inches tall.

So awesome, I'm so glad you printed this and posted the final result. What program did you use for modeling? It looks like ZBrush :) Beautiful work!

Kristen:Yes, this model was made in zBrush.

Matt Justice: This was printed at a site called Shapeways.

Andrew Hamilton: I believe this was printed with a VisiJet SR 200. I chose the frosted ultra detail material.

Lovely. Can I ask how you painted this? What type of paints did you use? Did you use a primer?

Hi Seanf,

I used Tamiya fine grey primer as a base coat then applied Tamiya acrylic model paints. After that I rubbed in pastel dust to get more subtle tones.
